Venous Cannulae
Venous cannulae are used to drain the right atrium and inferior vena cava. These cannulae are inserted in the superior vena cava and/or inferior vena cava or in the right atrium in order to drain the venous blood returning to the heart during cardiopulmonary bypass. Venous return cannulae are manufactured in both single and dual stage configurations.
